Started Watching Hermitcraft! + The Month of Spreadsheets

Oops! It's the last day of May! Feels like a lot happened this month! But also not really!

I went to the dentist this month and I got to hold the parrot! :D It was very cute and talkative!

I've been playing so much Minecraft!!

And on May 9th I started watching Hermitcraft for my first time. I watched 33 of GeminiTay's videos over 2 days. And then. I watched 35 of Grian's videos in 1 day. Guys, was that kinda unhinged?

I have basically been watching Gem's videos, VODs, and streams every day since. New favorite content creator?

Oh, another thing. I got one of my siblings to watch Hermitcraft and now they keep like singing Please Hold? What have I done!? They keep putting people on hold!

I was watching one of the GIGGS REPO streams and they had the Zelda items and Grian was being a Zelda nerd and before I knew it I had a spreadsheet of every Zelda game and started playing Ocarina of Time! Crazy how that happens.

I have started a new game dev project again but I'm hoping I really make progress with it this time because I am the most inspired and motivated that I have been before. Steampunk robots? I know, I know, *revolutionary*. But I have lots of ideas for it. And a spreadsheet of steampunk media to use as inspiration.

Did I mention my Pokemon spreadsheet? This has truly been the month of spreadsheets.

ArtFight Prep, Queer Prom, & College Registration

Wow, I actually am blogging twice in one month! Crazy!

This year I think I'm finally gonna do ArtFight for my first time! I first heard about it 5 years ago from a friend I had at the time but I never really looked into it more till now! I started working of a ref sheet for Arta but I think I might have to restart completely because my attempt to turn a headshot I already had into a full body is not working out.

I went to a queer prom a few days ago and omg it was great!! You should see a bunch of queer teenagers when Pink Pony Club comes on at prom. Unfortunately I missed the majority of the drag show because I was running late but otherwise it was very fun! The prom was held at a different location this time and I think that was for money reasons but I honestly liked this venue more. I don't know whether or not I'll go next year but I hope they have it at this place again. I wore a fluffy pink dress and drag makeup and of course I got lots of compliments on it so that was nice! :]

A couple days ago I registered for my college classes!! I wanted to take ceramics but it overlapped with pre-calculus so I'm doing basic desgin 2D instead. Hopefully I'll get to do ceramics eventually!!

Signing in to all my college accounts for the first time yesterday was somewhat distressing because they all have my birth name on them. Why do they even ask for my preferred name if it isn't gonna affect things like my Canvas display name. I wish I could legally change my name but that's gonna have to wait till I turn 18 because there is no way my parents would agree to that.

Speaking of my name, in a couple days it'll be the 3.5 year anniversary of me going by this name!! :DD

I have my graduation ceremony in a couple weeks! So that's exciting!

The Past 6 Months

I haven't been updating this site much so far this year. I intend on getting back into I just haven't been in the habit of adding to this site recently lmao.

Today I found out that I got the scholarship that covers all my tution and fees for my Associate's degree!! :DDD Absolutely thrilled!! I register for my classes in a couple weeks! Hopefully I'll be able to take the ceramics class that I want to take! Aaaaaaa I'm so excited!!!

It sounds like this year I won't have to go to my family reunion so hopefully I'll be able to go to pride for the first time this year! I wanted to go last year but my family reunion was switched to being the last week of June. I'll finally have somewhere to take my pride flag to!!

My birthday isn't till June but we're at the point in the year where I am greatly anticipating it!! I can't get a job so if I want expensive things I gotta wait till my birthday to get them as presents. I mostly hoping for an Nintendo Switch Lite so that I can actually play our Switch games because my little siblings somehow never know where they put our Switch lmao. I love my siblings but sharing things with them is extremely frustrating and honestly unsanitary.

I recently got my first Raspberry Pi!! I messed around with Linux for my first time and then installed Batocera on it. It has like 90-100 Gamecube games on it! It also has lots of Pokemon games on it!! This was all inspired because I have been getting really into Pokemon and was emulating Pokemon Blue with mGBA and when I was telling my little siblings about me playing old games they mentioned that they really wished that they could play Shadow the Hedgehog. So, while they were at school I put Dolphin on their laptop and downloaded Shadow the Hedgehog for them to play!! Needless to say they were ecstatic!! Then I decided it'd been cool to try using a Raspberry Pi for my first time to use for game emulation and got a RPi5 a couple days later!

I've been watching the Pokemon anime and have started collecting Pokemon cards! I bought the Pokemon Battle Academy 2024 so that I could learn to play the card game and teach it to my little siblings and it has been so fun and they love it! One of my siblings has decided that Snorlax is their favorite Pokemon, bought a vinyl figure of Snorlax that they have named "Snorlington," and has been carrying it around talking about it haha. I have decided that right now my favorite Pokemon is Grookey. When I first saw Grookey I adored him and now my Tumblr picture and banner are Grookey and I bought a reverse-holo Grookey card!!

Me and my brother watched Sherlock! I think we watched it in March?? But I have rewatched it multiple times since then and I am now reading A Study In Scarlet. I got my brother a paperback copy of A Study In Scarlet for his birthday. Oh and I must say and emphasize that Lestrade is my favorite character in the entire show. I just recently rewatched it just to watch all the scenes with Lestrade lmfao. So far in the book he has been described as "[a] little sallow rat-faced, dark-eyed fellow," "lean and ferret-like as ever," and (on multiple occasions) "the little man" which are all absolutely hilarious to me.

I've been getting back into Minecraft!! :D I've been playing modded 1.12.2 again and am enjoying it. I was inspired by Luvstar 's video about forever worlds ! (Side note: If you don't care about Minecraft I still highly recommend checking out Luvstar's other channel because they just make fantastic content!! :DD) I don't know if my current Minecraft world will end up being a long-term world but the video made me feel excited about Minecraft again! At the moment I am working on building a wizard tower to put my enchanting table and things in! My main issue is deciding between the primary color being green or purple. Two people have said I should do both so I may try that lol. I might make a page on here for stuff about my Minecraft world including a list of mods I'm using!! I think if I sort of blog about my world it will make it seem more meaningful for me and I'll enjoy it for longer.

At the end of the month I'm going to queer prom again! Not sure what I'm gonna wear this time. It's Broadway themed but I'm not sure whether or not I'll dress to the theme. I have a hot pink fluffy dress that I might wear. There's gonna be a Broadway-themed drag show which I am very excited about!! :DDD The drag show last year was awesome!! I live in a very red state and haven't gotten to go to pride before so that queer prom is like the most queer people I've ever seen in my life and the first time I've seen a drag show!! Last year there was a couple queens and a king and I'm really hoping that there'll be a drag king again this year!

Well I think I have rambled long enough to have caught up on the past few months. I didn't blog in November or December but that's long enough ago that I can't really remember anything that happened then lmao. RIP any events that happened then, you have been lost to time. Oh, I got my GED at the beginning of January! That seems notable and I don't think it's been mentioned. I also took the ACT in February and got a 31 overall! Both of those were obviously very exciting! But yeah I don't really remember November and December. Oof. I'll try to get back to blogging more now haha.
